ANDY MONTAGUE

Creative Director / Director / Producer / Writer

 

Andy started in the industry as a production coordinator with Universal Studios and Columbia Pictures. Originally from Honolulu, Andy has worked extensively with local and national advertising agencies, directing and producing broadcast commercials. Clients include: Aston Hotels and Resorts, Ford, Sam's Club, Coppertone, Menehune Water, Inspiration Furniture, University of Hawaii, Hawaii Pacific Federal Credit Union, Sentricon systems, Occidental insurance and the list goes on.

 

Andy has co-produced and served as creative director on a variety of long-formatted shows that were regionally syndicated with Hawaii's network affiliates:

 

NIGHTTIME WITH ANDY BUMATAI - a nightly talk show. (KFVE and The CW)

 

THE CHAMPION - A mixed martial arts reality show. (NBC affiliate)

 

ENTERTAIN ME - A weekly variety show featuring Hawaii's finest talent and, um, the not-so-talented. (NBC affiliate)

 

DANCERS IN PARADISE - A 30-minute reality show. (ABC affiliate)

 

HANDY MAN 101 - A 30-minute DIY show. (NBC affiliate)

 

OHANA ROAD - A 30-minute car enthusiast magazine show. (ABC affiliate)

 

VOICES OF PALAMA SETTLEMENT – A one-hour documentary celebrating the Centennial of Hawaii's oldest charitable institution. (NBC affiliate)

 

WE SERVE - A documentary produced by the Lions Club of Hawaii to raise funds for community projects. (NBC Affiliate)

 

Andy is also a writer, specializing in both long and short-format scripts for television and radio. He has a professional background in theater and television, serving as an advantage when directing on and off-camera talent.

 

His accolades include a best director Telly award as well as numerous local words for his writing and directing. Andy served as director of “Ohana Road,” a half-hour television show for gearheads which aired on the ABC affiliate for seven years. Directing several full-length independent films is on Andy's bucket list.

 

Andy was recently an independent producer and a director on a full season of a food and travel show, "Frontier Tastes & Tales.
