John R. Lewis

John has worked in the advertising and television industries for over 20 years. As a director and Director of Photography he has filmed and produced hundreds of commercials for advertising agencies and clients. He has received numerous awards including the Pele, AIMA and the national Telly Award for his work in commercials and long format television programming.
John has directed, served as Director of Photography and produced a variety of long formatted regionally syndicated television programs:
NIGHTTIME WITH ANDY BUMATAI - a nightly talk show. (KFVE and The CW)
THE CHAMPION - A mixed martial arts reality show. (NBC affiliate)
ENTERTAIN ME - A weekly variety show featuring Hawaii's finest talent and, um, the not-so-talented. (NBC affiliate)
DANCERS IN PARADISE - A 30-minute reality show. (ABC affiliate)
HANDY MAN 101 - A 30-minute DIY show. (NBC affiliate)
OHANA ROAD - A 30-minute car enthusiast magazine show. (ABC affiliate)
VOICES OF PALAMA SETTLEMENT – A one-hour documentary celebrating the Centennial of Hawaii's oldest charitable institution. (NBC affiliate)
For seven years, John was Director of Photography (DP) and editor-in-chief on “Ohana Road,” a 30-minute magazine show for gearheads. “Ohana Road” was regionally syndicated and aired on Hawaii's ABC affiliate. John also produced two documentaries to raise funds and bring community service awareness to the forefront In Hawaii, “Voices of Palama Settlement” and “We Serve.”
John was recently an independent producer and director of photography on a full season of a food and travel show, "Frontier Tastes & Tales".
